This summer passed quicker than any other. I swear the past six weeks flew by unbelievably fast.
It all started when my sister and I decided to explore Montréal for two weeks – the city where my dad grew up. Every summer, the city transforms into a metropolis featuring street art, festivals, and traffic jams.
One of my absolute highlights was seeing the band the Fray at a small festival in Trois-Rivières in the pouring rain. They delivered quite a show, so it was totally worth it. We ended the night with one of my favorite Canadian street-food desserts: beaver tails!

A must-stop if you ever go to Montréal is the Café Chato, a cat café where you can play with tons of adorable rescues.

In week three of my trip our family joined us and we went to my uncle’s lake house near Saint-Sauveur.

The lake and the water were an absolute dream. We went stand-up paddling and swimming every day. The forest next to the house also had a cute little hike.
I could have stayed there all summer!

I just realized I’ll have to do a few more posts to do this trip justice. See you soon. ❤
